For years a debate has been raging over whether our environmental issues must be solved by governments, businesses, communities, or individuals. Of course, the answer is all of the above. As individuals, we can change our own behavior and also impact governments and businesses. We can engage at the local, state, and national levels. We can let vendors know what we want and vote with our dollars. And we can join together in volunteer groups, religious organizations, book clubs, neighborhood associations, and other community groups to learn and take action to bend the future.
